Paris Saint-Germain Denies Interest in Marcus Rashford Amid Contract Talks

Amidst ongoing speculation about a potential move, Paris Saint-Germain has firmly denied any interest in acquiring Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford. The English footballer, known for his tenure at Manchester United and contributions to the England national team, has been subject to transfer rumors recently.

Rashford, 26, who emerged from the Manchester United youth system, signed a substantial £325,000-a-week contract extension until 2028 just last summer. Despite recent talks suggesting PSG’s interest, sources close to the matter have revealed to Sun Sport that the French club’s alleged pursuit was merely a tactic to improve Rashford’s contract terms.

According to a source, “PSG have never been interested in signing Marcus. And given his struggles on and off the pitch this season, they have given it no consideration at all. He will not be moving to PSG.” The source hinted that Rashford might benefit from the noise surrounding the transfer speculation fading away, allowing him to focus on revitalizing his career at Manchester United.

Despite the ongoing chatter, Rashford continues to play for Manchester United, as evidenced by his recent appearance in the Premier League draw against Bournemouth. However, his performance fell short of expectations, failing to match his standout form from the previous season.

Manchester United’s boss Erik Ten Hag emphasized the importance of securing victories and expressed disappointment over dropped points in recent matches. Nonetheless, he commended the impactful contributions of Bruno Fernandes, whose two goals, including a controversial penalty, salvaged the draw for the Red Devils.

Ten Hag praised Fernandes for his creativity and energy, highlighting his role as a captain and his positive influence on the team. With Manchester United aiming for improved performances, the focus remains on harnessing the talents of key players like Fernandes as they strive for success on the pitch.
